Fender Blues Junior Special Edition Lacquered Tweed
Beautiful looking and sounding amp.
Every other Blues Junior I've heard has sounded harsh and brittle and I wondered why people like them. All Blues Juniors have a design fault for the UK market with means the amp runs at 230 instead of 240 volts. That blows resistors R35 and R36 and as a result the amp sucks. Never heard a good one.
This one has just been correctly modified and has a full set of new JJ Tesla valves fitted and it is sweet!
Excellent condition and now sounding exactly like a Blue Junior should. Warm, clean and with a great natural overdrive when pushed hard.
